Donalee Gregory

Physiotherapist

Graduated from The University of Sydney in 1991 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy)

Registered with AHPRA

Member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association

Certification in the prescription and measurement of Dynamic Movement Orthoses (DMO)

Donalee combined her passion for rural health, paediatrics and disability, moving to Wagga Wagga in 1992 to pursue a career in this area of practice. With over 30 years’ experience in the fields of paediatrics and disability Donalee has been fortunate to be invited by families to share their journey, working with them and their children to achieve their goals. Together they have celebrated the highs and worked through the more challenging times.

Donalee has been published as a coauthor of “The Team Around the Child: working together in early intervention” book; and is a coauthor of a research paper exploring the use of kinesiotaping in paediatrics.

Throughout her career she has valued the sharing of knowledge and has supervised physiotherapy students, new graduates, and more experienced staff.

Donalee has years of experience working with:

  • Babies and young children with developmental concerns

  • Babies and children with complex needs

  • Children with specific diagnoses

  • Assistive technology including the prescription of complex wheelchairs

  • Wearable technology (including theratogs, DMO, Spiral Skins and SPIO)

  • Orthotic prescription

  • Gross motor delays

  • Idiopathic toe walking

  • Casting and splinting

 

Donalee has worked with the NDIS since its inception and has a comprehensive knowledge of the scheme including the process of applying for assistive technology.

Janine Tout

Educator

Graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2003: Bachelor of Primary Education

 

Graduated from Riverina Murray Institute of Higher Education (now CSU) 1983: Bachelor of Social Welfare

 

Fully NESA accredited as a Proficient Teacher

 

Prior to teaching Janine had an extensive career in the social welfare space working with vulnerable families.

Janine has worked for over 12 years in the early intervention area. This work has involved supporting children and their families around developmental delays and disability. She made the change to this area to achieve a lifelong goal of working with and supporting families at the beginning of their journey. She has provided specific support through a coaching approach in the early years. Janine believes that providing support in the early years has lifelong positive implications and benefits for children and their families.

Janine is passionate about the inclusion and participation of children in all their natural environments. She works closely with all key people involved in the child’s care and well-being. This is achieved through building strong and supportive relationships and an understanding about child development. Janine provides support through individual work, group programs and visits to early childhood settings.

Supporting Transition to school is a key focus for Janine. She has extensive experience with providing group programs and individual supports that build skills and capacity to negotiate the move to school. She works closely with families, early childhood settings and schools to ensure that this process is inclusive and that the right supports are available at the right time for each child.

She has worked with the NDIS during its formative stage and since its inception. Janine believes strongly in the capacity building model that the NDIS provides.

Janine also has a passion for supporting the development of social and emotional skills in young children. She has obtained accreditation to deliver the Westmead feelings program. She has also received training in the Does This Child Need Help program to support families at the very beginning of their journey. Janine believes strongly in a family centred approach that builds the capacity of families to make a difference in their child’s life across the lifespan.

Laura Le

Speech Pathologist

Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

 

Laura graduated from Charles Sturt University (Albury) in 2006. She is a dedicated Speech Pathologist with an extensive background in disability services. She is passionate in partnering with families to develop functional and achievable goals in all aspects of communication. Laura is also highly experienced in the area of paediatric feeding and in the prescription of communication devices. She is committed to delivering a fun, evidence-based, individualised service.

 

Throughout her career she has provided supervision and mentoring to experienced staff, new graduates and Speech Pathology students.

Laura has worked with the NDIS since its inception and has comprehensive knowledge of the scheme including the process of applying for assistive technology.

Laura has years of experience working with:

  • Early communication development and play skills

  • Receptive language skills – Understanding and comprehension

  • Expressive language skills – The content and structure of language

  • Speech sound development – Articulation and phonological disorders

  • Literacy development – Reading, writing, spelling and comprehension

  • Social skills

  • Feeding skill development

  • Assistive technology including the prescription of communication devices (AAC)

Sarah Lilburne

Occupational Therapist

30+ years of Occupational Therapy experience in rural and regional areas.

 

Built on her love for engaging with children through the pursuit of her career.

 

Passion for working in multi-disciplinary teams to support children and their families, including the development of strong relationships with children, their families and significant others in children’s lives.

 

Registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency). The aim of this scheme is to ensure that people all across Australia can call upon the services of health quality practitioners that can be relied upon to offer safe and high quality services.

 

Sarah’s experience includes working with children who have complex needs and present with a broad range of diagnoses. This includes provision of assessments and development of intervention for:

  • Fine motor skills including school based activities. This includes postural requirements for optimal fine motor skill performance.

  • Utilizing technology and equipment to support daily living skills.

  • Use of cognitive tasks in daily routines.

  • Facilitating social/emotional development to support participation in daily activities.

 

Sarah strongly values lifelong learning opportunities. She has attended a broad range of professional development courses throughout her career, developing a broad range of skills. These courses include:

  • Managing anxiety in children

  • Visual perceptual development in children

  • Play skills for children’s development

  • Frameworks around social/emotional development

  • Handwriting

  • Using cognition and executive function in daily tasks.

  • Occupational Therapy role in supporting children with Autism diagnosis.

  • Assessing neurological impact on fine and gross motor skills

  • Facilitator of Secret Agent Society social/emotional program

  • Behaviour and sensory processing

  • Motivational interviewing and coaching
